Alberobelo je veoma neobičan i slikovit gradić u provinciji Bari u Italiji, poznat po svojim jedinstvenim trulli građevinama, koje se od 1996. godine nalaze na popisu UNESCO-ve svjetske baštine.

Ovaj gradić, koji ima oko 11.000 stanovnika, sa bajkovitim kućicama podseća i na selo iz crtanog filma “Štrumpfovi”.

To je danas popularno turističko odredište koje posjetioce vrati više od 200 godina nazad kroz vrijeme. Bez obzira na to što su mnoge kuće uređene u prodavnice suvenira, muzeje ili restorane, ovo turistički atraktivno mjesto nije se pretvorilo u kamenu kulisu. Tamo živi čak 11.000 stanovnika, na ulicama se igraju djeca, na prozorima se suši veš, dok se psi izležavaju na pragovima.

U gradu postoje dva naselja – Monti i Aia Piccola.

Okrug Monti je izgrađen na prilično strmom terenu, prostire se na površini od 15 hektara i obuhvata 1.030 koliba.

Predstavlja prvu veliku, jasno prepoznatljivu grupu koliba u gradu. Otvara se prema brdu poput lepeze, a od ostatka grada je odvojen šetalištem Martelot. Svi putevi niz brdo spajaju se na jednom mjestu kako bi se omogućilo da voda ode.

Okrug Aia Piccola sa svojih 590 građevina je još jedna, manje homogena grupa koliba. Njene kolibe su postavljene na zajedničkom gumnu na kojem su u prošlosti, od kraja feudalnog perioda, seljaci morali javno vršiti žito.

Ljeti se u ovom gradu održavaju brojni festivali, a iz Barija se vozom stiže za sat i po ili automobilom za manje od sat vremena.
